Gaming Client #1 | Senior 2D Animator

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential gaming organization in their search for a Senior 2D Animator with proven Unity implementation experience. Our client develops engaging mobile and web-based entertainment products enjoyed by millions of users worldwide.

This role is based in Poland, Romania, or Serbia and focuses on creating polished, high-quality 2D animations that bring static artwork to life while maintaining premium visual standards.

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality 2D animations for game features, including symbols, UI elements, pop-ups, win screens, rewards, and celebration moments
• Animate static 2D artwork while preserving visual quality and style consistency
• Design motion that conveys excitement, value, and reward to enhance player experience
• Independently set up, implement, test, and polish animations directly in Unity
• Review and refine animations in Unity and on mobile devices, adjusting timing, readability, and responsiveness
• Collaborate closely with Art Directors, UI Artists, Technical Artists, Game Designers, and Developers to deliver polished features
• Proactively identify and suggest animation and visual improvements

What We're Looking For

• Senior-level portfolio showcasing strong 2D game animation and visual polish
• Strong practical Unity experience implementing animations in production projects (required)
• Extensive experience in 2D game animation, ideally in mobile games with high visual standards
• Excellent sense of timing, rhythm, weight, impact, easing, anticipation, and secondary motion
• Deep understanding of Unity animation workflows, animation states, transitions, prefabs, and UI animation setup
• Ability to independently take animation from source assets through Unity implementation to final in-game polish
• Strong artistic eye for composition, readability, visual hierarchy, and overall quality
• Proven ability to work efficiently and deliver consistent, high-quality results

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with Spine or similar 2D animation tools and Unity integration
• Basic knowledge of Unity shaders, particles, or lightweight VFX
• Understanding of animation optimization for mobile platforms
