Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential cloud infrastructure company in their search for a Billing Systems Architect. This is a fully remote position open to candidates located anywhere in the world.

In this role, you will serve as the technical anchor of the billing infrastructure, ensuring revenue operations, pricing structures, and financial integrations run seamlessly as the business scales. You'll bridge Finance, Product, and Engineering teams while taking ownership of the Quote-to-Cash platform from the implementation partner.

Responsibilities

• Serve as hands-on technical owner of the enterprise billing platform environment, configuring catalogs, price cards, usage rating rules, and automated invoice schedules
• Own ongoing platform health including system updates, pricing launches, recurring bill-run troubleshooting, sync exception handling, and root-cause issue resolution
• Utilize SQL to perform data validation, rating engine auditing, and operational reporting while collaborating with Engineering to receive mediated usage data
• Maintain and optimize API-driven integrations connecting the billing platform to upstream CRMs, downstream ERP/GL tools, and payment gateways
• Partner closely with Accounting to ensure system rating rules, revenue schedules, and general ledger mappings satisfy ASC 606 and IFRS 15 compliance standards
• Gather technical and operational requirements from Accounting, Finance, Sales Ops, and Product teams, translating business vision into sustainable platform configuration
• Maintain billing data continuity and manage subscription data updates or migrations without disrupting financial operations or revenue recognition flows

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Proven hands-on experience configuring and administering enterprise Quote-to-Cash or billing platforms such as Zuora, Salesforce Revenue Cloud/CPQ, NetSuite Billing, Aria Systems, or BillingPlatform
• Strong proficiency with SQL for querying and auditing billing data, alongside solid grasp of REST APIs, webhooks, and ETL workflows
• Experience supporting complex SaaS or infrastructure pricing models including hybrid commitment-plus-usage, tiered rates, and consumption-based/metered billing
• Practical understanding of revenue recognition fundamentals (ASC 606 / IFRS 15) and how accounting rules dictate billing engine design
• Ability to bridge technical language and financial business logic, effectively collaborating with engineering teams and accounting stakeholders
• Methodical approach to diagnosing system sync errors, rating anomalies, and integration edge cases to ensure operational continuity

Bonus qualifications:

• Experience with DigitalRoute mediation software or Kafka event-stream data intake
• Previous exposure to cloud infrastructure or developer-platform usage metrics
• Background supporting system migrations from implementation partners into internal teams

Location: This role is open to candidates in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in these countries; visa sponsorship is not available at this time.
