Full Stack Product Developer (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a growing digital media organization in Berlin seeking their third internal developer to take on a central role in the tech team. You will work across the entire development lifecycle—from initial concept through deployment, operations, and continuous improvement.

Your role goes beyond writing code. You'll help identify the right problems to solve, refine requirements, and develop solutions that make a real difference for the business, users, and editorial teams.

• Design, develop, and maintain web applications, APIs, and mobile apps
• Work with content management systems and platform development
• Build new features and continuously improve existing solutions
• Explore and optimize the use of large language models and coding agents for process automation and product features
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs, including third-party system integrations
• Participate in configuration, maintenance, and security of Linux servers and deployment processes
• Translate requirements from various stakeholders into clear technical solutions
• Bring structure to complex or not-yet-fully-defined tasks and turn ideas into implementable products
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders, product owners, editorial teams, and leadership

What We're Looking For

Our client works with PHP, Laravel, Statamic, PostgreSQL, Livewire, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, RESTful APIs, Linux servers, and modern deployment processes. You don't need to master every tool—we value technical understanding, communication skills, and the ability to quickly translate complex requirements into solid solutions. You should be eager to work with these technologies and ramp up quickly on new systems.

• Solid experience in software development with strong command of at least one relevant programming language
• Ideally, experience with web applications, APIs, and databases
• Interest in the tech stack mentioned above and willingness to develop expertise in Laravel, Statamic, PostgreSQL, and Livewire
• Understanding of how to deploy LLMs and coding agents responsibly in software development, or eagerness to learn
• Familiarity with Linux servers, deployment, and fundamental IT security concepts, or readiness to develop these skills
• Ability to quickly grasp complex problems, prioritize, and translate them into concrete next steps
• Clear communication skills, including with non-technical stakeholders
• Capability to balance different requirements and perspectives while managing stakeholder relationships
• Independent, reliable, and solution-oriented work style
• Ability to maintain overview when requirements change, information is incomplete, or multiple priorities compete
• Enjoyment in creating calm, structure, and reliability in ambiguous situations
• Excellent German language skills essential for team and stakeholder communication

This is a permanent position offering flexibility between part-time and full-time arrangements, with three days per week in the Berlin office and two days remote. The role includes 28 days of annual leave and significant autonomy in shaping the technical direction of a growing media business.
