Freelance Senior Product Manager (w/m/d) – Abrechnung & ERP

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential healthcare services organization in their search for a Freelance Senior Product Manager to lead a clearly scoped project focused on billing, ERP modules, contract management, and time tracking within a proprietary software platform.

In this remote freelance role, you will:

• Analyze existing processes and system landscapes in contract management, billing, time tracking, and accounting
• Identify and prioritize functional optimization opportunities based on agreed project goals
• Develop suitable solution approaches and concrete recommendations for selected ERP module enhancements
• Create clear functional concepts, user stories, acceptance criteria, and tickets as the foundation for technical implementation
• Translate complex functional requirements into actionable product decisions
• Provide functional support for agreed development packages through quality assurance
• Support release preparations, data migrations, and rollouts on a project basis
• Document concepts, decisions, and project outcomes
• Coordinate independently with the Lead Product Manager, CTO, and relevant stakeholders
• Gather functional requirements from selected subsidiaries
• Maintain transparent communication regarding project progress, results, dependencies, and decision points

This is a 3 to 6 month project starting October 1, 2026, with an estimated scope of 30–40 hours per week. The role is fully remote within Germany with flexible scheduling around clearly defined deliverables.

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Proven experience as Product Manager, Product Owner, Product Consultant, or similar product-focused project role
• Demonstrable project experience in accounting, ERP, billing, or comparable B2B software solutions
• Experience analyzing complex functional processes and translating them into concrete product requirements
• Confident working with user stories, tickets, acceptance criteria, and functional product concepts
• Technical understanding of data migration, data analysis, and software development
• Fluent German and English
• Independent, structured, and results-oriented working style

Helpful for this project:

• Experience in SaaS, platform, or ERP-adjacent projects
• Knowledge of cloud-based platforms, APIs, integrations, or distributed systems
• Understanding of software architecture, microservices, or container-based system landscapes
• Experience with legacy systems and migrations between existing and target systems
• Project experience in multi-entity, private equity, buy-and-build, or comparable growth environments
• Knowledge in occupational health and safety, occupational medicine, or workplace safety domains
• Interim, freelance, or consulting experience in product management contexts

Pay

Compensation will be based on an individually agreed hourly or daily rate, invoiced on a freelance basis. Specific rate details will be discussed during the screening process based on your experience and project scope.
