About This Opportunity
Our talent team is representing a well-funded digital health startup in San Francisco that is reimagining how people engage with healthcare. This is a founding engineer role where you will have significant impact on technical direction and product vision from day one.
We are seeking a full-stack developer with entrepreneurial DNA and early-stage startup experience. You'll join a team of experienced multi-time founders backed by prominent Silicon Valley investors.
Responsibilities
- Shape the technical architecture and engineering culture as the founding engineer
- Build and iterate on a comprehensive healthcare platform using modern web technologies
- Work directly with founders to translate product vision into technical solutions
- Develop features across the full stack from frontend UI to backend services and infrastructure
- Make critical decisions on technology choices, development workflows, and engineering standards
- Contribute to product strategy and user experience design
What We're Looking For
- Proven full-stack development experience with production systems
- Early-stage startup experience; founding engineer experience is a strong plus
- Product-minded approach with ability to balance speed and quality
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript, React, and Node.js
- Experience with AWS infrastructure, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with modern development tools and workflows (monorepos, testing frameworks, design systems)
- Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort with ambiguity
- Passion for digital health and longevity is a plus
- Based in or willing to relocate to San Francisco (office in SOMA)
Technical environment includes: TypeScript monorepo, React, Express/Node.js, AWS/Fargate, Docker, Tailwind CSS, Jest, Storybook, GitHub Actions, and healthcare data standards.
