Forward-Deployed Engineer (f/m/d)

The Opportunity

We are representing a confidential AI technology client building autonomous data solutions for mid-market organizations across Europe. This is a forward-deployed engineering role where you'll work directly with customers to solve real business problems using large language models and data infrastructure.

You'll be the technical partner who connects data systems, builds workflows in production, and translates business needs into working solutions. Everything you learn from customer engagements feeds directly back into product development.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with customers across multiple industries to understand their operations and identify high-value automation opportunities
• Connect disparate data sources including ERP systems, CRM platforms, spreadsheets, and internal databases
• Model business logic and deploy data applications that solve critical business decisions
• Own customer relationships end-to-end and ensure solutions deliver measurable value in production
• Bridge the gap between customer needs and product development by feeding insights back to the engineering team
• Build production-grade systems rather than one-off analyses

What We're Looking For

• Strong technical foundation working with large datasets and SQL logic
• Background at the intersection of business and computer science (business analytics, IT systems engineering, information systems, or similar)
• Comfort working directly with customers from day one
• Production-focused mindset: you care whether solutions actually work and deliver value to end users
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and determine the right solution path
• English proficiency at C1 level or above; German language skills are a significant advantage given the client's customer base
• Ownership mentality, curiosity, and ability to execute in real-world environments

Location & Work Environment
