Forward Deployed Engineer (all genders)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential consulting organization specializing in enterprise AI implementation. In this Forward Deployed Engineer role, you will own the complete technical lifecycle of AI solutions from initial concept through production deployment.

• Design and implement end-to-end AI solutions including agentic systems, RAG pipelines, and LLM integrations in enterprise environments
• Take full ownership of architecture and technical implementation from strategy phase through to production delivery
• Leverage agentic coding tools throughout your development workflow to build solutions, accelerate reviews, and create deployment pipelines
• Engage from the earliest ideation stages, contributing to strategic and business discussions alongside technical execution
• Maintain accountability until solutions are running in production and delivering measurable business impact
• Present and defend technical decisions directly to executive stakeholders without intermediary layers
• Work regularly on-site at client locations across Hamburg, München, and Düsseldorf

What We're Looking For

• Proven track record bringing LLM-based systems into production environments, ideally in a forward-deployed or founding engineering capacity
• Production-grade Python expertise including FastAPI, containerization, Git, and CI/CD pipelines
• Deep understanding of agentic architectures, retrieval methods, and function calling patterns
• Proficiency using agentic coding tools as core workflow components, including for building deployment infrastructure
• Experience owning and defending technical decisions directly with C-level executives
• Founder or product mindset with commitment to outcomes rather than task completion
• Ability to quickly ramp up in new and often regulated industry contexts; experience in Financial Services, Transportation, Logistics, Energy, Utilities, Life Sciences, Healthcare, Public Sector, Automotive, or Defence is advantageous
• German language proficiency at C1 level or higher and business-fluent English
• Willingness to work regularly on-site at client locations
• Completed degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, data science, business informatics, or comparable field (Bachelor's or higher)
