Forward Deployed Engineer

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential AI enablement organization seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to work directly with strategic clients on production-ready AI solutions.

In this hands-on role, you will:

• Design and implement technical integrations between client systems and our client's platform
• Architect scalable agentic AI and human-in-the-loop workflows
• Define data ingestion, transformation, and feedback loops while evaluating system bottlenecks for latency, quality, and throughput
• Translate proof-of-concept AI systems into scalable production workflows
• Build APIs, connectors, automation scripts, and data pipelines
• Debug integration issues in client environments and contribute to internal platform enhancements
• Lead technical discovery sessions and support pre-sales validation
• Surface recurring patterns from client deployments and influence roadmap priorities with field evidence
• Partner with delivery teams to ensure execution feasibility and improve reliability

This role includes frequent travel to client sites and combines strong engineering execution with product and client-facing responsibilities.

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of software engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in Python and Go
• Proficiency with Claude and relevant AI tools
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Proven experience building APIs and working with distributed systems
• Experience designing data pipelines or ML infrastructure
• Familiarity with the AI/ML lifecycle from training through inference, evaluation, and feedback
• Ability to evaluate end-to-end workflow performance and identify operational risks
• Strong product judgment to differentiate scalable features from custom requests
• Excellent communication skills with both C-level and deeply technical stakeholders
• Comfort running technical workshops and translating ambiguity into architecture

Preferred location is Berlin, Germany. Relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidates.
