Director / Sr Director / Vice President Business Development – US North East (gn)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential life sciences organization seeking a senior business development leader to expand their market presence across the US Northeast region. In this role, you will develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to grow current partnerships and identify new opportunities with pharmaceutical and biotech companies. You will foster and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders to drive strategic partnerships across both stand-alone projects and integrated programs.

Your responsibilities include leading high-level negotiations and closing deals that drive significant revenue growth. You will collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals and facilitate cross-functional cooperation. Representing the organization at major industry events, conferences, and meetings will be essential to enhance brand visibility and network with industry leaders.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum of 10 years of business development experience, with at least 5 years in the contract research services industry
• Proven track record of successful sales and territory management within the CRO space
• Degree in a life science-related field
• Extensive network within the biotech and pharmaceutical industries with demonstrated ability to leverage connections for business development
• Deep understanding of early drug discovery processes, structural biology, proteins, biologics, biophysics, and integrated programs
• Demonstrated success in developing and executing effective business development strategies
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to build and sustain strong professional relationships
• Highly self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of working independently
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally
