Forward Deployed Engineer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fintech infrastructure company in a critical deployment engineering role. Our client builds regulated enterprise software for European financial institutions, and each deal requires custom scoping, compliance documentation, and technical architecture before going live. This position owns the complete path from signed contract to production deployment.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery workshops with enterprise clients in regulated industries, translating business requirements into clear specifications for product and engineering teams
• Design end-to-end integration architectures for each client deployment, including hosted and on-premise scenarios, and produce the technical documentation required by enterprise stakeholders
• Drive procurement and security review processes to completion using existing compliance frameworks, responding to security questionnaires and data-residency requirements
• Oversee technical deployment execution handled by implementation partners, ensuring delivery meets architectural standards
• Build reusable scoping templates, architecture patterns, and compliance response libraries to make the process repeatable across clients
• Travel periodically across Europe and the US to meet with clients and stakeholders

What We're Looking For

• Strong technical credibility: you read code, understand integration architectures and agent frameworks, and can scope and oversee complex deployments
• Experience leading technical conversations with enterprise clients in regulated environments
• Proven ability to complete security questionnaires and procurement processes from existing documentation
• Background working in or adjacent to regulated industries such as finance or insurance, with understanding of compliance and data residency requirements
• Comfort operating in ambiguity across sales, operations, and engineering functions
• Ability to ramp quickly into new technical domains
• Willingness to travel approximately once monthly, primarily to Paris, London, and Madrid, with occasional US travel

This is not: A hands-on coding role (implementation is handled by partners), a pure pre-sales role (you own delivery oversight), or a slideware position (real technical depth is required).
