Position Summary

Waniwani, a company building AI assistants for insurance and banking products, seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer to own the critical path between signed deals and live deployments. This role involves customer workshops, solution architecture, and procurement oversight.

Core Duties

• Customer Workshops, Discovery, and Requirements (35%): Conduct technical discovery and translate client needs into buildable product requirements for sales, ops, and engineering teams. Identify necessary customizations like client self-hosting.
• Solution Architecture and Documentation (35%): Design end-to-end MCP flows and integration architectures, producing detailed technical documentation as required by clients such as BPI France.
• Procurement, Security, and Delivery Oversight (30%): Utilize existing compliance libraries to complete security questionnaires, handle security committees, and oversee MCP deployments implemented by our freelancer network.

What We're Looking For

• Experience in customer-facing roles within technical services or consulting.
• Aptitude for translating business needs into technical solutions.
• Strong understanding of security frameworks and compliance requirements, particularly SOC 2 and data residency.
• Ability to manage complex projects from scoping through deployment.
