Responsibilities

• Receive and analyze simulated or real-time emergency requests, determining urgency and allocating appropriate resources based on established protocols
• Apply triage skills to prioritize incoming information from multiple communication channels, ensuring timely and accurate routing
• Utilize standardized checklists and dispatching scripts to maintain procedural consistency and compliance with best practices
• Document scenario responses and communication flows in a clear and structured format for system learning purposes
• Evaluate, critique, and suggest improvements to protocols or automated responses
• Collaborate with project coordinators to ensure deliverables meet quality standards and operational objectives
• Provide concise feedback regarding the effectiveness and clarity of communications

What We're Looking For

• Significant experience as a fire dispatcher, emergency communications specialist, or equivalent role
• Exceptional multitasking abilities, including managing simultaneous requests via radio, phone, and digital platforms
• Proficiency in applying, following, and interpreting standardized emergency protocols and checklists (APCO/NENA certification preferred)
• Demonstrated capacity for clear, concise, and professional written and verbal communication
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and make rapid, accurate prioritization decisions
• Familiarity with the unique challenges and workflows of emergency dispatch environments
• Experience contributing to training, evaluation, or improvement of operational procedures is a plus
