Field Service Technician (Mexico)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential industrial technology organization in their search for a Field Service Technician based in Mexico. Our client powers manufacturing excellence through advanced condition monitoring solutions, serving global manufacturers with cutting-edge predictive maintenance technology.

This position reports to the Regional Manager and focuses on installation, testing, and servicing of monitoring equipment at industrial client sites. The role requires flexibility for short-notice travel, emergency response, and last-minute scheduling changes to support manufacturing operations across the region.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and service condition-based monitoring solutions at manufacturing facilities according to technical specifications
• Travel up to 70% regionally and locally, including overnight stays, air travel, and occasional weekend or after-hours support
• Operate in confined industrial settings while wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including protective glasses, gloves, specialized clothing, and safety footwear
• Provide on-site technical support to industrial clients, troubleshooting and repairing equipment installations to ensure uptime and customer satisfaction
• Maintain accurate installation records, field service documentation, and manage service tools and inventory for asset accountability
• Review all product installations with the field coordination team and ensure quality standards are met
• Work autonomously with minimal supervision while maintaining professional communication with customers and internal teams
• Maintain weekly expense records and demonstrate strong organizational skills in task prioritization
• Represent the company professionally, building trust and cooperation with manufacturing clients

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Experience with hand tools, air tools, and specialized industrial equipment
• General knowledge of industrial manufacturing equipment and operations
• Understanding of industrial electronic systems, including enclosures, cabinets, electrical connectors, cabling, and mounting hardware
• Familiarity with industrial networking equipment and protocols
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Physical ability to work in industrial environments and wear PPE as required
• Professional demeanor with customers and ability to work independently
• Results-oriented approach with excellent organizational abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1+ years of field service experience in industrial or manufacturing environments
• Familiarity with preventive and predictive maintenance programs
• Experience commissioning new systems and repairing associated equipment
• Knowledge of vibration analysis and environmental testing
• OSHA 10 certification (OSHA 30 preferred; can be obtained upon hiring)
