Executive Vice President (EVP) Finance – Insurance & Investments

This is a senior enterprise-level role based in Puerto Rico, offering strategic leadership across insurance operations, investment platforms, and related financial services divisions.

We are seeking a seasoned finance executive who will partner with C-suite leadership, the Board, and business unit heads to drive financial performance, capital efficiency, governance, and long-term value creation across a complex, multi-entity organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise-wide financial strategy, planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management across all business units and subsidiaries
• Provide executive oversight of financial performance, FP&A, management reporting, financial modeling, and commercial finance initiatives
• Monitor and optimize revenue, profitability, expenses, margins, cash flow, ROE, ROIC, and return on capital metrics
• Oversee financial management of insurance operations including premiums, claims, reserves, reinsurance, and underwriting performance
• Direct financial leadership for investment and asset management divisions, covering portfolio reporting, valuation, investment income, and performance analysis
• Lead strategic capital planning, capital allocation, solvency management, liquidity planning, and balance-sheet optimization
• Provide executive oversight of treasury, funding, cash management, and enterprise liquidity
• Establish and strengthen financial governance, internal controls, accounting policies, and risk-management frameworks
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax requirements, insurance regulations, investment regulations, and statutory reporting
• Lead financial evaluation and due diligence for M&A transactions, acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic investments, and market expansion
• Partner with Investment, Actuarial, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Treasury, and Operations teams on major strategic decisions
• Drive cost optimization, operational efficiency, and profitability improvement initiatives
• Lead finance transformation including ERP modernization, automation, AI/data analytics, and digital finance capabilities
• Maintain relationships with regulators, auditors, investors, lenders, and rating agencies
• Provide strategic financial counsel to the CEO, CFO, Board, and Executive Committee
• Build succession pipeline and lead senior finance executives across the organization

What We're Looking For

Experience:

• 18–25+ years of progressive finance experience, preferably within insurance, investment management, asset management, banking, reinsurance, pensions, or diversified financial services
• Extensive experience in enterprise-level, multi-entity finance leadership roles
• Previous experience as EVP Finance, Group Finance Director, Group CFO, CFO, SVP Finance, Deputy CFO, or equivalent executive role
• Strong understanding of insurance finance, investment finance, capital management, treasury, financial reporting, and regulatory frameworks
• Demonstrated experience managing complex organizations with multiple subsidiaries, business lines, and jurisdictions
• Proven track record in M&A, capital raising, strategic investments, restructuring, or major transformation initiatives
• Extensive experience engaging with Boards, C-suite executives, regulators, investors, and auditors
• Proven ability to lead large, geographically dispersed finance organizations

Education & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related discipline
• Professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, CPA, CMA, CFA, or equivalent strongly preferred
• Additional qualifications in insurance, investments, risk, actuarial science, or financial management advantageous
