About the Role
As a Tax Specialist with Abbott in Bogota, you'll be instrumental in managing critical tax obligations and supporting our financial operations across Colombia. Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and file Colombian corporate and income tax returns in compliance with regulatory standards
- Monitor and interpret changes in Colombian tax legislation to ensure organizational compliance and readiness
- Develop and execute tax planning strategies to optimize Abbott's tax position and efficiency
- Maintain comprehensive tax documentation and records according to Colombian statutory requirements
- Coordinate tax matters with internal teams, external tax consultants, and government agencies
- Analyze transactions, contracts, and business structures for potential tax impacts and exposures
- Support tax audits and communications with Colombian tax authorities as needed
What We're Looking For
- Professional qualification, degree, or certification in accounting, taxation, finance, or equivalent field
- Proven professional experience managing Colombian tax compliance and regulatory requirements
- Advanced knowledge of Colombian tax obligations, including VAT, income tax, and withholding requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities in complex tax scenarios
