Join Atrium Health as a Certified Nursing Assistant and Healthcare Technician at Levine Children's Hospital in Charlotte, North Carolina. This full-time position supports patients on our specialized hematology, oncology, and bone marrow transplant unit at our Carolinas Medical Center facility.

Position Summary

As a CNA/Healthcare Tech at Levine Children's Hospital's hematology/oncology and bone marrow transplant unit, you'll play a vital role in delivering compassionate care to pediatric patients during critical treatment journeys. Working within a specialized care environment at Carolinas Medical Center, you'll combine direct patient care with technology support, assisting our healthcare team in providing the highest standard of treatment and comfort.

Your Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff with direct patient care activities, maintaining dignity and compassion for children undergoing hematology, oncology, and transplant treatment
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes to clinical staff immediately
• Support patient hygiene, comfort, and mobility needs within the parameters of their treatment plan
• Maintain clean, safe patient environments and ensure proper equipment functionality
• Assist with documentation and data entry using healthcare technology systems
• Support clinical staff with technical equipment operation and troubleshooting
• Respond to patient call lights and requests promptly and professionally

Requirements

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or eligibility for North Carolina certification
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to work varied schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Compassion and patience when working with pediatric patients and families
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn healthcare technology systems
• Physical ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods
