Position Summary

As a Psychiatric Technician with Atrium Health Behavioral Health Charlotte, you'll play a vital role in our inpatient psychiatric unit, providing direct patient care, monitoring vital signs, and facilitating therapeutic interventions. This full-time position on the evening shift offers the opportunity to work alongside psychiatrists, nurses, and mental health specialists in a collaborative care model dedicated to helping adults achieve recovery and stability.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and record patient vital signs, behaviors, and mental health status throughout your shift
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and personal hygiene while maintaining dignity and respect
• Support therapeutic activities, group sessions, and treatment programs under clinical supervision
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record system
• Respond promptly to patient requests and report changes in condition to nursing staff
• Ensure patient safety and security within the unit environment
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to execute individualized treatment plans

Who We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED required; psychiatric technician certification preferred
