Join AAH as a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant and Healthcare Technician at Levine Children's Hospital's 11P Hematology, Oncology & Bone Marrow Transplant Unit in Charlotte, NC. This is an opportunity to deliver compassionate care to young patients and their families in a specialized pediatric environment at Carolinas Medical Center.
Position Summary
As a CNA/Healthcare Tech on the 11P unit, you'll provide essential clinical and technical support to our pediatric hematology/oncology and bone marrow transplant patients during day shifts. You'll work alongside nursing staff to ensure patients receive high-quality, patient-centered care in a specialized medical setting focused on children with complex blood disorders and cancer diagnoses.
Your Responsibilities
- Perform vital sign monitoring and document patient information accurately
- Assist patients with activities of daily living while maintaining dignity and comfort
- Support infection control and safety protocols, especially critical in an immunocompromised patient population
- Operate and maintain healthcare technology and monitoring equipment
- Respond to patient and family needs with empathy and professionalism
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support patient outcomes
