Carolinas Medical Center seeks a dedicated CNA/Healthcare Tech professional to join our Critical Intensive Care Unit (CICU) in Charlotte, NC. The CICU at Carolinas Medical Center - 1000 Blythe Blvd serves patients requiring intensive monitoring and complex medical support. In this dual-focused position, you'll combine hands-on patient care with healthcare technology responsibilities, working alongside nurses, physicians, and clinical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including vital signs monitoring, hygiene assistance, and comfort measures
• Support nursing staff with patient transfers, positioning, and safe mobility assistance
• Monitor and maintain critical care equipment and medical devices
• Assist with electronic health record documentation and clinical data entry
• Respond promptly to patient calls and communicate patient needs to nursing leadership
• Maintain clean, safe patient environments and equipment standardization in the unit
• Support hospital safety protocols and infection control standards

Requirements

• Current North Carolina CNA certification or ability to obtain certification
• Ability to work full-time day shifts in a fast-paced intensive care environment
• Strong communication skills and proven ability to work as part of a clinical team
• Physical ability to safely assist patients and lift equipment regularly
• Genuine compassion for patients and commitment to quality care
• Comfort with basic computer systems and willingness to learn healthcare technology platforms
