Technician II, Production Technical Operations

Alcon is seeking a Technician II, Production Technical Operations, to join our manufacturing team at our facility in Tuas, Singapore. This full-time position offers the opportunity to contribute to the production of innovative healthcare products whilst developing your technical expertise in a quality-driven manufacturing environment.

The Opportunity

As Technician II, Production Technical Operations, you'll play a vital role in supporting our production operations and ensuring manufacturing excellence. You'll work on complex technical systems and processes that are central to our operations in Tuas, reporting to the production leadership team and collaborating across shifts to maintain operational continuity and meet production targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Support daily production operations and technical troubleshooting to minimise downtime
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production equipment and systems
• Monitor equipment performance, conduct diagnostics, and escalate issues appropriately
• Assist with equipment setup, calibration, and validation activities
• Maintain detailed records and documentation in compliance with manufacturing standards
• Support training and onboarding of production team members on technical procedures
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and process optimisation
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and quality protocols throughout all activities

Skills & Qualifications

• Secondary education or equivalent qualification; technical diploma or certification preferred
• Proven experience as a technician or in a technical operations support role
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting aptitude with hands-on experience
• Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and standard work documentation
• Proficiency with basic electrical concepts and pneumatic/hydraulic systems
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Reliability, attention to detail, and commitment to safety and quality standards
• Willingness to work shifts as required for operational needs
