Alfalaval seeks a Senior Field Service Engineer to join our team in New Delhi on a full-time basis. This is an on-site technical role supporting the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of equipment across customer operations in the region.
The Opportunity
As a Senior Field Service Engineer, you will take ownership of complex field operations and ensure successful equipment deployment and customer satisfaction. This role offers the chance to lead technical teams, resolve mission-critical challenges, and drive continuous improvement in our service delivery across the area.
What You'll Do
- Oversee installation, commissioning, and performance testing of equipment at customer sites
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues through thorough troubleshooting and preventive maintenance
- Lead and mentor field technicians while coordinating with internal technical teams
- Document system performance, create detailed technical reports, and maintain service records
- Train customer personnel on equipment operation, safety protocols, and operational best practices
- Identify improvement opportunities and recommend system upgrades to enhance efficiency
- Respond promptly to service requests and urgent technical issues with effective solutions
What You Bring
- Minimum 5–7 years of field service engineering or technical support experience with industrial equipment
- Proven troubleshooting and diagnostic expertise in resolving complex technical problems independently
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing field teams or coordinating technical projects
- Knowledge of safety standards, maintenance protocols, and quality assurance procedures
- Strong communication skills for engaging customers, technicians, and cross-functional teams
- Mechanical or electrical engineering background or equivalent technical qualification
- Willingness to travel regularly within the region to customer facilities
