What This Role Involves

As a Meter Revenue Operations Business Analyst at AEP, you'll serve as a bridge between operational teams and business systems, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of metering data and revenue cycles. This full-time position focuses on analyzing meter performance, identifying operational inefficiencies, and supporting the systems that power billing and customer accounting for AEP's energy operations.

What You'll Do

• Analyze meter data and revenue operations processes to identify discrepancies, inefficiencies, and optimization opportunities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Billing, and IT to resolve revenue cycle issues
• Prepare detailed reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators and meter-related metrics
• Support testing and validation of billing systems and metering infrastructure updates
• Document business processes and requirements to ensure alignment between operational needs and system capabilities
• Investigate anomalies in meter data and work toward resolution across teams
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing revenue assurance

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
• Experience with billing systems, revenue operations, or utility metering processes (preferred)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools; SQL knowledge is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities; comfort presenting findings to diverse stakeholders
