Industrial Architect

AG is seeking an experienced Industrial Architect to join our full-time team in Belfast. This is an opportunity to drive manufacturing excellence and operational innovation across our facilities.

Position Summary

As an Industrial Architect, you will design and optimise manufacturing processes, facility layouts, and production systems to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and deliver operational excellence. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, operations, and strategic planning, influencing how our organisation manufactures products and delivers customer value.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and refine manufacturing processes and production system layouts to maximise operational efficiency and minimise waste
• Analyse existing operations to identify improvement opportunities, cost-saving potential, and quality enhancements
• Design facility configurations and workflow strategies aligned with operational and strategic objectives
• Partner with engineering, supply chain, and production teams to implement process improvements and manufacturing solutions
• Lead or contribute to continuous improvement initiatives using recognised optimisation methodologies
• Evaluate manufacturing technologies and systems that support operational goals and capability enhancement
• Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance in all process designs and implementations
• Create technical documentation and communicate complex manufacturing concepts effectively across teams

Who We're Looking For

• Established experience in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, or operations engineering disciplines
• Strong foundation in manufacturing systems, process design, and facility planning principles
• Working knowledge of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement frameworks, or similar optimisation methodologies
• Capability with CAD software, process visualisation tools, or manufacturing simulation platforms
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with solid quantitative abilities
• Demonstrated success collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder relationships
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical information clearly
• Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or closely related field) or equivalent professional experience
