About the Role

As a Continuous Improvement Engineer within the Abbott Distribution Center in Avon, you will drive operational excellence across warehousing, fulfillment, and logistics. Working on-site in Lorain County, you'll partner with cross-functional teams to identify inefficiencies, design smarter workflows, and embed a culture of measurable, sustainable improvement that supports Abbott's mission to help people live more fully.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze distribution center processes to surface bottlenecks, waste, and opportunities for productivity gains.
• Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies to streamline material flow and order fulfillment.
• Lead and support improvement projects from concept through implementation, tracking results with data and key metrics.
• Collaborate with operations, quality, and engineering colleagues to standardize best practices across the site.
• Document procedures and train team members to sustain process changes over time.

Qualifications

• Background in engineering, supply chain, operations, or a related technical discipline.
• Familiarity with continuous improvement, Lean, or Six Sigma principles in a warehouse or distribution setting.
• Strong analytical skills and comfort working with operational data to guide decisions.
• Effective communication and the ability to lead change across diverse teams.
• Willingness to work on-site at the Avon, Lorain County distribution center; this is not a remote position.
