Senior Operator

Abbott, a healthcare innovation leader, is recruiting a Senior Operator for our manufacturing facility in Minnetonka, Hennepin County. In this full-time position, you'll operate and oversee critical production equipment while maintaining the exceptional quality, safety, and efficiency standards that define our operations and impact patients worldwide.

About the Role

The Senior Operator role is central to Abbott's manufacturing success in Minnetonka. You'll oversee equipment operation, lead production initiatives, and ensure compliance with stringent healthcare manufacturing standards. Your technical expertise and leadership will drive operational reliability and continuous improvement across the facility.

What You'll Do

• Operate production equipment and systems with precision, following established procedures and safety protocols
• Monitor equipment performance, conduct routine maintenance, and troubleshoot mechanical or operational issues
• Maintain accurate production records, equipment logs, and quality documentation as required by healthcare standards
• Mentor junior operators and team members on production best practices, safety, and compliance procedures
• Drive process improvements that increase efficiency, reduce downtime, and support operational excellence
• Uphold facility safety standards and maintain a clean, organized production environment
• Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams on equipment challenges and optimization
• Ensure manufactured products meet all quality specifications and regulatory requirements

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, production, or equipment operation
• Expertise operating complex production machinery and automated systems
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting capabilities for mechanical and operational problems
• Familiarity with healthcare manufacturing compliance requirements, safety regulations, and quality standards
• Demonstrated leadership experience training and supervising production personnel
• Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work scheduled shifts and maintain operational continuity
• High school diploma or equivalent; manufacturing or technical certification preferred
