North America HEOR Manager

Abbott is seeking an experienced North America HEOR Manager to drive health economics and outcomes research initiatives from our Alameda, Alameda County location in a full-time position. As a global healthcare innovator serving over 160 countries, Abbott is looking for a strategic thinker who can advance clinical evidence and real-world data strategies that support our diagnostics, medical devices, nutritional, and pharmaceutical businesses.

Position Summary

As our North America HEOR Manager, you'll lead the development and execution of health economics and outcomes research programs that demonstrate the clinical and economic value of Abbott's healthcare solutions. This role combines strategic planning, cross-functional collaboration, and analytical expertise to generate evidence that informs business decisions, supports clinical claims, and strengthens market positioning across our diverse portfolio of life-changing healthcare technologies.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Design and oversee health economics studies, budget-impact analyses, and real-world evidence generation projects
• Lead cross-functional teams including medical affairs, market access, and commercial partners to align evidence strategies with business objectives
• Develop health economic models and outcomes research proposals that meet regulatory and stakeholder requirements
• Manage relationships with external research partners, health economists, and academic institutions
• Translate complex health economic data into clear, compelling narratives for internal stakeholders and external audiences
• Monitor emerging evidence, competitive HEOR activities, and evolving payer requirements across the North American market

What You Bring

• Master's degree in health economics, epidemiology, public health, or related field; or equivalent experience in HEOR
• 5+ years of professional experience in health economics, outcomes research, payer strategy, or health services research
• Strong proficiency in health economic modeling and outcomes research methodologies
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and communicate complex information to diverse audiences
• Knowledge of US payer requirements, health technology assessment processes, and real-world evidence frameworks
• Excellent project management, analytical, and interpersonal skills
