Vrtx is hiring a Senior Director, Human Resources Business Partner, Global Commercial Strategy to lead HR strategy and support business growth in Boston, MA. Position Summary

As Senior Director of Human Resources Business Partner for Global Commercial Strategy, you'll serve as a strategic HR leader embedded within Vrtx's commercial organization. In this role, you'll translate business objectives into talent and organizational strategies, enabling teams to achieve ambitious growth targets while building a high-performing culture.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with commercial leaders to develop and execute talent strategies that support revenue growth and market expansion
  • Lead organizational design, workforce planning, and talent acquisition to support business scaling
  • Drive employee engagement, retention, and development programs for global commercial teams
  • Support executive recruitment and succession planning for critical commercial roles
  • Oversee employee relations, performance management, and compensation strategy for your business unit
  • Identify and address organizational capability gaps through targeted development and restructuring
  • Collaborate across HR functions to ensure consistent, strategic people practices

Skills & Qualifications

  • 10+ years of HR experience in business partnership, talent strategy, or organizational development
  • 5+ years in a senior HR leadership role supporting commercial, sales, or revenue-driving functions
  • Proven track record translating business strategy into effective HR and organizational interventions
  • Experience in talent acquisition, retention, and succession planning
  • Strong business acumen and ability to think strategically about growth and profitability
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with ability to influence at senior levels
  • Experience supporting global or distributed teams
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
