About the Role

As Associate Principal, you'll serve as a strategic leader within our Ambulatory Strategy Intelligence team, driving informed decision-making across Vizient's ambulatory portfolio. This position sits at the intersection of healthcare operations, business strategy, and advanced analytics, requiring both deep technical expertise and the ability to influence senior stakeholders. You'll work on complex, enterprise-scale challenges where your insights directly impact how ambulatory care providers deliver services and improve patient outcomes.

What You'll Do

• Develop and execute comprehensive strategic intelligence programs focused on ambulatory care operations, market dynamics, and competitive positioning
• Lead cross-functional projects that combine data analysis, market research, and operational benchmarking to identify strategic opportunities
• Build business cases and strategic recommendations for executive leadership, translating complex analytical findings into actionable insights
• Manage relationships with key stakeholders across ambulatory networks, health systems, and internal Vizient teams
• Establish frameworks and methodologies for ongoing ambulatory strategy monitoring and performance evaluation
• Mentor and develop junior team members while collaborating with colleagues across analytics, operations, and consulting functions

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in healthcare strategy, business intelligence, management consulting, or related analytical roles
• Demonstrated expertise in healthcare operations, ambulatory care delivery models, or health system strategy
• Advanced proficiency with data analysis, business intelligence tools, and financial modeling
• Proven ability to lead complex projects, influence executives, and translate insights into strategic recommendations
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to present findings to C-suite audiences
• Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, economics, or related field; advanced degree preferred
