Director Implementation

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential legal technology organization that is transforming how mid-size law firms operate. Our talent team is seeking a Director of Implementation to lead onboarding and customer adoption strategies for a sophisticated cloud-based practice management platform.

This is a strategic leadership role where you'll own the implementation methodology, manage a team of implementation professionals, and serve as an executive advocate for customer success during critical onboarding phases.

Responsibilities

• Own and continuously improve the implementation methodology, executing planned enhancements and identifying opportunities to drive smooth customer engagements
• Define and roll out onboarding programs as product offerings expand
• Maintain playbooks, project plans, and artifacts to ensure consistent delivery across all implementations
• Maintain portfolio oversight of new and existing customer engagements, keeping senior leadership informed
• Own and manage customer escalations during implementation phases
• Partner with Sales and Customer Success teams to ensure positive experiences and successful product adoption
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to improve offerings and ease of implementation
• Build and enhance internal data migration tooling, leveraging AI-driven approaches to streamline migration and validation
• Expand training offerings including e-learning content, live training, webinars, and certification programs
• Hire, coach, and develop team members, driving professional growth and engagement
• Build and nurture executive relationships with customers
• Serve as a leading voice advocating for customers internally

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 5+ years of progressive experience leading onboarding and implementation teams in B2B SaaS environments
• Experience managing managers
• Ability to travel periodically (10-20%)
• Proven experience introducing technology, including AI, to drive operational improvements
• Experience leading Enterprise-level engagements

Preferred:

• Domain experience in legal technology is ideal
• Domain experience in billing, accounting, or AP/AR software solutions is beneficial
• Customer Success or Professional Services background is a plus

• Successful go-lives and retention rates
• Implementation timeline and time-to-value metrics
• Quality of delivery and reduction in rework
• Customer satisfaction scores
