Data, Integrations & Automations Developer (m/f/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential digital advertising technology company based in Hamburg, Germany. Our client operates at the intersection of advertising innovation and consumer privacy, building systems that integrate best-in-class technologies while developing proprietary solutions where needed. They provide both technology platforms and consulting services to advertisers and agencies.

This role requires existing permission to live and work in Germany, as you will be embedded with service operations teams in Hamburg.

Responsibilities

• Embed within advertising services teams to understand current operational workflows, pain points, and inefficiencies
• Design and develop solutions to streamline, automate, and improve service operations
• Make technical and data architecture decisions with consideration for AI agent integration, control, transparency, and data privacy
• Build integrations with CRMs, ERPs, project management systems, and third-party advertising APIs
• Collaborate with the existing software development team working on advertising technology components
• Produce high-quality, well-tested code with proper component architecture
• Manage complex third-party API integrations including rate limiting, OAuth token management, and version upgrades

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong proficiency in Node.js, including understanding of the event loop, streams, asynchronous programming, error handling, and events
• Solid relational database knowledge: modern SQL, indexing, stored procedures, transactions
• Multiple experiences integrating complex third-party APIs in robust, production-ready ways
• Proficiency with Git version control
• Linux experience and basic shell scripting skills
• German language proficiency (essential for working with Hamburg-based teams)
• English language proficiency (essential for collaborating with international developers)
• Independent problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills
• Detail-oriented with ability to set and meet expectations reliably
• Interest in learning the advertising business domain
• Experience with CRMs, ERPs, or project management systems is a strong plus
• Familiarity with Python, Erlang, Rust, or Go is beneficial but not required
