About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential data consultancy seeking a working student to join their Data Engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for students pursuing IT-related degrees to gain hands-on experience with modern data platforms and analytics solutions while balancing academic commitments.
Responsibilities
- Support the development of databases and data integration processes
- Contribute to the design and implementation of data models and data pipelines for modern data lakes, data warehouses, or lakehouses
- Assist in documenting and structuring data platforms and related processes
- Participate in the development of interactive dashboards and reports, including performance metrics and ESG analytics
- Support the application of data analytics methods and tools within project contexts
- Assist users in the utilization and maintenance of data platforms and analytics solutions
What We're Looking For
- Currently enrolled as a student in an IT-related field such as (Business) Informatics, Software Engineering, Data Science, Data Engineering, or a related discipline
- Solid knowledge of Python and SQL programming languages
- Experience in data visualization and presentation using Power BI and/or Microsoft Fabric
- Initial experience with Databricks is considered an advantage
- Basic understanding of data modeling methods and data integration processes (ETL/ELT)
- Ability to work independently and in a structured manner with strong teamwork and communication skills
- Excellent German and English language skills (minimum C1 level in both languages)
- Ability to work on-site at least 50% of the time in Cologne or Munich
