Customer Success Manager (w/m/d) – Accounting & Taxation

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential fintech organization expanding its operations in Germany. As a Customer Success Manager for Accounting & Taxation, you will serve as the voice of German-speaking clients, ensuring their success with a comprehensive financial platform.

Your core responsibilities include:

• Leading complete onboarding for new clients—both businesses and tax advisory firms—ensuring they quickly derive maximum value from the platform
• Serving as the primary contact for existing clients, maintaining trusted relationships and identifying opportunities for account growth
• Conducting proactive health checks and regular reviews to maximize customer satisfaction, retention, and prevent churn
• Collaborating closely with the German sales team and management to optimize processes, provide product feedback, and contribute to strategic growth
• Developing deep product expertise in the German financial and accounting landscape and sharing this knowledge with clients
• Traveling occasionally within Germany for client visits (approximately once per month) and to headquarters for onboarding

What We're Looking For

Our client seeks a candidate with:

• 2-5 years of professional experience in accounting, account management, or a similar customer-facing role, ideally in a tax advisory firm environment or alternatively in SaaS or fintech
• Completed training as a tax specialist (Steuerfachangestellter), tax consultant (Steuerfachwirt or Steuerberater), or degree in finance
• Deep understanding of the needs of businesses and/or tax advisors regarding finances, invoicing, and accounting in Germany
• Strong communication skills, empathy, and talent for explaining complex matters simply
• Hands-on mentality with proactive, solution-oriented approach and willingness to shape processes from the ground up as part of an early-stage team
• Negotiation-level German proficiency (C2 or native) and fluent English for international team collaboration
• Willingness to travel for onboarding and regular client visits

The role is fully remote within Germany, with the ability to work from other European locations provided the time zone difference from CET does not exceed two hours.
