Customer Service Representative/Route Service Representative

Gateway Services is hiring a Customer Service Representative/Route Service Representative to join their team in Grandview, Jackson County.

This full‑time position blends customer support with route‑based service duties, operating on a set weekday schedule with rotating on‑call responsibilities.

About the Role

The role serves as the front line for customer inquiries while also handling scheduled route tasks. You will work a consistent daily shift, provide timely assistance to clients, and support operational needs as‑on‑call coverage as required. The position is based locally in Grandview and reports directly to the Gateway Services operations manager.

What You'll Do

• Respond to customer questions and concerns via phone, email, or in‑person interactions
• Accurately record service details and update customer accounts in the company system
• Follow established route schedules to complete deliveries or service visits on time
• Perform routine checks of equipment and vehicles to ensure safety and readiness
• Participate in rotating on‑call shifts to address urgent service needs outside regular hours
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance and adhere to all company policies
• Collaborate with team members to improve processes and share best practices

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional customer service training is a plus
• Proven experience in a customer‑facing role, preferably with route or field service exposure
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a courteous and patient demeanor
• Ability to follow schedules, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing priorities
• Basic computer proficiency for data entry and navigating internal systems
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license if required for route duties
• Willingness to work occasional on‑call periods and flexible hours as needed
