SHPCA SCAN Health Plan is looking for a Telesales Representative to join our team. This full-time position serves prospective members in the United States as we work to provide quality health coverage to older adults seeking to maintain independence and well-being.
About the Role
As a Telesales Representative for SHPCA SCAN Health Plan, you'll play a direct role in reaching out to prospective members interested in learning about our health plan options. This position involves engaging with seniors through outbound calling, answering questions about coverage, and guiding them through the enrollment process.
What You'll Do
- Conduct outbound calls to engage prospective members interested in health coverage options
- Explain plan features, coverage details, and member benefits to interested seniors
- Identify qualified prospects and guide them through initial questions about enrollment
- Track conversations and follow up with prospects to support the sales pipeline
- Answer questions regarding eligibility, coverage areas, and enrollment procedures
- Maintain accurate records and meet activity targets while upholding company standards
- Collaborate with teammates to support department and organizational goals
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in telesales, phone-based sales, or related customer outreach roles
- Strong verbal communication skills with ability to engage and handle customer concerns professionally
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment
- Interest in health insurance, senior wellness, or related fields preferred
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Comfort using computer systems and database tools
