Crew Account Growth Specialist

We are representing a confidential fintech organization that provides specialized payment solutions to the maritime sector. Our talent team is recruiting for a Crew Account Growth Specialist based in India. This role combines operational excellence with customer engagement, supporting the onboarding and growth of crew payment accounts while ensuring regulatory compliance and timely service delivery.

As a senior member of the operations team, you will manage crew account creation, card fulfillment, customer communications, and training initiatives while mentoring colleagues and driving process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Customer Communication and Account Order Management: Serve as the primary contact for crew account and card onboarding requests; respond to customer emails professionally and within SLA requirements; review data submissions for completeness and compliance; liaise with corporate customers to obtain required documentation while ensuring GDPR-compliant handling of personal information; upload and validate identity documents using OCR and verification tools; execute account creation and monitor completion status; maintain accurate records and provide regular updates to customers
• Card Order Processing: Coordinate card ordering, allocation, and delivery with customers, vendors, and internal teams; manage direct-to-vessel card shipments with courier partners; provide customers with real-time updates on card orders and delivery schedules; proactively manage card inventory and support replenishment needs
• Customer Awareness and Crew Engagement: Organize and schedule webinars for crew members and onshore staff; facilitate training sessions presenting product features, processes, and usage guidance; respond to participant questions during live sessions; maintain and update training materials; support colleagues at industry events when requested by management
• Reporting and Administrative Support: Prepare, validate, and distribute operational reports including crew masterlists, unfunded account reports, card activation data, and daily onboarding summaries; ensure data accuracy and integrity; provide operational support to Compliance, Customer Support, Product, and Key Account Management teams
• Senior Team Responsibilities: Coach and guide team members on operational activities and best practices; serve as subject matter expert for crew onboarding and card operations; identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives; deliver training sessions on procedures, processes, and system enhancements

What We're Looking For

Required Experience:

• Minimum 4 years in operations and customer support, ideally in BPO, fintech, payments, or maritime environments
• Proven experience managing customer emails, executing orders, and handling multiple requests against agreed SLAs
• Experience as a senior team member leading or supporting colleagues and driving process improvement initiatives
• Background supporting customer webinars or training sessions; face-to-face customer meeting or industry event experience is advantageous
• Exposure to Compliance, KYC, or payment processes in the finance industry is a strong plus

Required Skills:

• Intermediate MS Excel and back-end software proficiency
• Strong written communication skills with ability to compose clear, timely, professional email responses
• Good English communication and presentation abilities
• Highly organized with capability to manage simultaneous requests within SLAs
• Keen attention to detail, especially when handling customer data, onboarding documents, and order requests
• Problem-solving mindset with ability to propose and drive process improvements

Education: Certificate level or Degree qualification
