Creative Technologist (contract)

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential digital agency working at the intersection of design, technology, and emerging AI capabilities. They're seeking a Creative Technologist for an urgent contract engagement running through February 2027.

This is a hands-on, experimental role for someone who stays plugged into the latest AI model releases and can rapidly transform new capabilities into compelling, functional prototypes. You'll work embedded with a multidisciplinary creative team, moving quickly from "what could we do with this?" to working demos that earn attention and engagement.

Contract Details: ASAP start through February 26, 2027 | 40 hours/week | Remote (USA)

Responsibilities

• Monitor and stay current with new AI launches, features, and emerging creative behaviors across the AI landscape
• Rapidly concept, prototype, and ship AI-powered demos that showcase new model capabilities in culturally relevant ways
• Transform technical capabilities into social-first experiences that are immediately understandable and designed to capture attention
• Leverage AI-assisted development and rapid experimentation techniques to move from idea to working prototype quickly
• Develop creative approaches and reusable workflows that push capabilities beyond obvious use cases
• Create compelling outputs across formats including working code, screen recordings, short-form social content, technical tutorials, and open-source repositories
• Collaborate with creative, design, engineering, and production teams while bringing a strong technical point of view
• Iterate quickly based on feedback, balancing speed with high standards for craft and execution

What We're Looking For

• Strong hands-on experience in creative technology, prototyping, or creative development disciplines
• Portfolio demonstrating functional prototypes, interactive experiences, or technically driven creative work
• Active track record of experimenting with new AI models and features as they launch, with recent examples responding to emerging trends
• Meaningful hands-on experience building with Gemini and Google's AI developer ecosystem, plus fluency across the broader generative AI landscape
• Strong coding and prototyping skills using modern front-end frameworks and development tools
• Instincts for what resonates with developers and creators, and how to translate emerging behaviors into compelling demos or social-first content
• Comfort experimenting with newly released models without established playbooks
• Creative instincts for what makes technical demos surprising, useful, entertaining, or shareable
• Ability to work independently and move from ambiguous ideas to functional prototypes with minimal guidance
• Strong communication skills to make technical concepts accessible to both developer and consumer audiences
• Experience creating developer-facing content, technical tutorials, or open-source projects is a plus

Pay

Pay via Get A Job.ai will align with the client's established contract rate structure, which ranges from $74-109 per hour depending on location, experience, and skillset. The client uses regional cost-of-living adjustments across three US zones.

Benefits may be available in accordance with applicable law and company policy, including eligibility based on hours worked and duration of assignment.
