What You'll Do

• Advise senior leadership on complex legal matters affecting water utility operations
• Develop and implement legal strategies aligned with regulatory and compliance requirements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage risk and protect company interests
• Support regulatory filings and engagement with state utility commissions as needed
• Review contracts and commercial agreements to ensure legal soundness
• Contribute to corporate governance and internal policy development
• Stay current with evolving water industry regulations across your service territory

What We're Looking For

• Juris Doctor degree with active bar membership in Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, or ability to obtain admission
• Demonstrated experience in corporate or utility law
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Excellent communication abilities and collaborative approach to cross-department work
• Understanding of regulatory compliance and enterprise risk management
• Professional judgment and discretion when handling sensitive matters
