About the Role

As the Guest Services Assistant Manager (Event Coverage) at the Museum of Science and Industry, you'll be a key on-the-floor leader who keeps event and daily operations running seamlessly while making every guest feel welcome. Reporting to Guest Services Leadership, you'll support the team during scheduled events and shifts, stepping in wherever needed to maintain a polished, professional visitor experience. This is a part-time position based on-site in Temple Terrace.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee smooth evening and daily Guest Services operations during museum events and regular hours.
• Lead and support front-line guest services staff to deliver consistently exceptional service.
• Serve as a point of contact for guests, addressing questions and resolving concerns promptly.
• Help coordinate event coverage so that visitor needs are met from arrival through departure.
• Uphold MOSI's standards for hospitality, safety, and overall guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Background in guest services, hospitality, customer service, or a related front-facing role.
• Comfortable leading a team and making decisions in a fast-paced event environment.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a genuine focus on the visitor experience.
• Flexible availability for part-time shifts, including evenings as required for event coverage.
