As a State Eligibility Consultant, you'll be the critical point of contact for residents seeking state support services. You'll evaluate applications, verify documentation, and determine program eligibility according to state and federal guidelines. What You'll Do
- Review applications and supporting documentation for state assistance programs
- Assess applicant eligibility based on current state and federal regulations
- Verify income, residency, and other qualification requirements
- Communicate eligibility determinations to applicants in a clear and professional manner
- Maintain accurate, confidential case records and case management files
- Respond to inquiries from applicants and referring agencies
- Follow established state procedures and compliance protocols
- Input data and manage information using state systems and databases
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED
- Prior experience in customer service, administrative work, or a related field (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to learn and work confidently with government systems and databases
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfort speaking with people from diverse backgrounds and circumstances
- Commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and ethical service delivery
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
