Corporate Accounting Supervisor

Prime System Solutions is hiring a Corporate Accounting Supervisor to lead our accounting operations team in Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa. This is a full-time remote role for an experienced accounting professional ready to take on supervisory responsibilities and drive financial excellence.

Position Summary

We're seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Corporate Accounting Supervisor to oversee our accounting department's day-to-day operations. You'll manage a team of accounting professionals, ensure accurate financial records, and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements. This role combines hands-on accounting expertise with team leadership, making it ideal for someone who thrives in both analytical and interpersonal environments. Based remotely, you'll have the flexibility to work from anywhere whilst supporting Prime System Solutions' financial operations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and mentor accounting staff to ensure high performance and professional development
• Oversee daily accounting operations including invoice processing, payment management, and expense tracking
• Prepare and review financial statements, general ledger reconciliations, and month-end closing procedures
• Maintain compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and audit requirements
• Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support business planning
• Coordinate with external auditors and prepare documentation for audit activities
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
• Respond to queries from management and stakeholders regarding financial matters

What You Bring

• Proven supervisory experience in an accounting environment
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and tax compliance
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills with ability to prioritise competing demands
• Clear communication and leadership abilities—you inspire confidence and collaborate effectively
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all financial records
• Problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Relevant accounting qualification or equivalent professional experience
