About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential manufacturing organization with global operations, headquartered in Hamburg. Our talent team is seeking a Controller (m/w/d) to join their finance function and play a key role in steering financial planning and reporting across international operations.
This is a hands-on finance role combining core controlling responsibilities with strategic business partnership. You'll work closely with production and sales teams, contribute to system transformation initiatives, and help shape data-driven decision-making processes.
Responsibilities
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes to enable informed company-wide steering
- Prepare monthly and annual closing documentation with accuracy and timeliness
- Develop management reports, analyze key performance indicators, and provide clear commentary on financial trends
- Conduct business analyses and translate findings into actionable recommendations
- Act as Finance Business Partner for the Production department on operational questions; provide backup support for Global Sales controlling
- Design and refine KPIs to increase transparency and support evidence-based decisions
- Contribute proactively to projects, including participation in an upcoming ERP system transformation
What We're Looking For
- Completed degree in Business Administration with focus on Controlling, Finance, or Accounting
- Several years of controlling experience, ideally with exposure to production controlling
- Strong working knowledge of SAP FICO and ERP systems
- Advanced MS Office skills, particularly Excel
- Strong analytical and conceptual abilities paired with an independent, structured work style
- Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud or other BI tools is a plus
- Fluency in German is required for this role
