About the Role
ARC of the Treasure Coast is seeking a dedicated Community Companion who genuinely enjoys connecting with others and creating positive experiences. You'll be the trusted face in someone's week, fostering relationships and helping individuals engage with their community in ways that matter to them.
What You'll Do
- Provide regular companionship and emotional support to assigned individuals
- Participate in community activities, outings, and social events together
- Help encourage personal growth, confidence, and independence
- Maintain open communication and document interactions and progress
- Work with the ARC team to align activities with individual goals and preferences
- Model respect, positivity, and genuine care in all interactions
What We're Looking For
- A warm, patient person who truly enjoys spending time with others
- Excellent listening and communication skills
- Strong reliability and commitment to consistent attendance
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Adaptability and problem-solving in dynamic situations
- A valid driver's license (preferred)
Schedule & Location
This part-time Community Companion position is based in Jupiter, Palm Beach County, and runs Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
