About the Role
As the System Lab Supervisor for the BMH 2nd shift, you will oversee daily laboratory operations across the Bronson system, ensuring accurate, timely results that directly support quality patient care. This position blends hands-on technical expertise with team leadership, making it ideal for a clinical laboratory specialist who thrives during evening-shift responsibilities and enjoys mentoring others.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and coordinate the workflow of the clinical laboratory during the 2nd shift to maintain efficient, reliable testing operations.
- Supervise, schedule, and support laboratory staff, fostering a collaborative and accountable team environment.
- Monitor quality control, regulatory compliance, and standard operating procedures to uphold accreditation and safety standards.
- Troubleshoot instrumentation and resolve technical or staffing issues as they arise.
- Partner with physicians, nurses, and other departments to deliver dependable diagnostic information.
Qualifications
- Relevant clinical laboratory education, certification, and licensure as required for the role.
- Proven experience in a medical or hospital laboratory setting, with prior supervisory or lead responsibilities preferred.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory quality standards, instrumentation, and regulatory requirements.
- Availability and flexibility to work the 2nd shift in an on-site capacity.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
