As an AmeriCorps Member with City Year, you'll work full-time in a Fort Stockton school as a student success coach and academic mentor. This entry-level, paid position is perfect for someone ready to make an immediate, hands-on difference in student achievement and school culture.
What You'll Do
- Provide one-on-one academic mentoring and tutoring to support student learning and achievement
- Work closely with classroom teachers to support instruction and reinforce academic lessons
- Coach students on study skills, academic confidence, and personal responsibility
- Contribute to positive classroom and school culture initiatives
- Build strong relationships with students to understand their individual needs and celebrate their progress
- Collaborate with other AmeriCorps members to provide comprehensive support across the school
