Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential fintech client seeking a Field Sales Representative in Marseille. This is a 100% field-based role focused on direct merchant acquisition.

Your core responsibilities will include:

• Directly prospecting small businesses in your territory: restaurants, artisans, independent retailers and local commerce
• Identifying merchant needs and presenting appropriate payment and business management solutions
• Conducting clear, persuasive product demonstrations on-site
• Negotiating and closing sales directly in the field
• Managing the complete sales cycle from initial contact through signature
• Building sustainable territory growth through structured, regular prospecting
• Tracking your results and adjusting your approach to meet and exceed targets

What we're looking for

This position requires proven experience in cold prospecting, ideally in a field sales environment. You must be comfortable approaching prospects who are unfamiliar with the solution and generating their interest.

Essential qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience in cold prospection (field sales experience strongly preferred)
• Comfort with direct, face-to-face prospecting and human contact
• Ability to quickly establish trust and rapport with merchants
• Strong verbal communication skills, energy and persuasive ability
• Resilience in handling objections and maintaining motivation in a demanding environment
• Autonomous, organized, persistent and results-oriented approach
• Enthusiasm for ambitious targets and direct impact on your earnings
• Fluent French; conversational English for internal communications

Pay

Our client offers transparent compensation from the start of the process. The base salary is €30,000 gross annual, with a target variable component of €27,600 gross annual at 100% of objectives, for a total target package of €57,600 gross annual. The variable compensation is entirely uncapped—top performers can exceed €100,000 gross annual total compensation.
