We are representing a fast-growing observability platform company in their search for a Commercial Solutions Engineer based in Munich. Our client is building a modern, cloud-native observability solution with a strong focus on developer experience and open standards. As a Commercial Solutions Engineer, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers and prospects. You'll design solutions, lead technical evaluations, and ensure customers achieve measurable outcomes. This role spans both pre-sales and post-sales activities, working closely with account executives and product teams to demonstrate technical value and guide architecture decisions.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect observability solutions using OpenTelemetry, Kubernetes, and cloud-native technologies
• Translate customer requirements into scalable, performant implementations
• Develop and execute Proofs of Concept that showcase differentiated technical capabilities
• Deliver technical demos and presentations for engineering and executive audiences
• Collaborate with sales teams throughout the customer lifecycle to position the platform as the solution of choice
• Provide architecture guidance on observability setup, telemetry data modeling, and collector design
• Create reusable demo environments, reference architectures, and POC templates
• Partner with product management to provide insights that influence roadmap priorities

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Deep technical knowledge in Kubernetes, OpenTelemetry, observability pipelines, and distributed tracing
• Hands-on experience with instrumentation, telemetry data ingestion, and performance optimization
• Strong understanding of modern DevOps, SRE, and platform engineering practices
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex observability concepts to both engineers and decision-makers
• Proven ability to create and execute technical demos, architectures, and POCs that demonstrate business value
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work seamlessly across sales, product, and engineering teams

Nice to Have:

• Experience with CRM tools (HubSpot) for collaboration and pipeline visibility
• Contributions to technical content such as blog posts, conference talks, or open-source documentation
• Familiarity with the CNCF ecosystem and community
• Experience in a high-growth, venture-backed startup environment
