CEO / Business Co-Founder (f/m/d) role at startup CHROMAMOS

About This Opportunity

Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential deep-tech startup in Saarbrücken, Germany. This innovative organization has developed a portable analytical instrument for on-site gas analysis, delivering laboratory-quality results at significantly reduced cost compared to traditional lab-based methods. The technology has been validated for applications in food quality assessment and has clear pathways into industrial monitoring and other sectors.

Two technical co-founders—both with advanced degrees in engineering and microtechnology—have built a working second-generation prototype that has been validated with industry partners. They are now seeking a business co-founder to lead company formation, commercial strategy, and market entry.

Responsibilities

• Lead company incorporation process and establish foundational business structures
• Drive EXIST Research Transfer application and identify additional funding routes for product development and commercialization
• Own fundraising and grant strategy in collaboration with technical co-founders
• Convert ongoing industry conversations into signed letters of intent and paying pilot customers
• Define and prioritize target markets across food industry, industrial quality management, leakage monitoring, and future application areas
• Establish commercial operations including sales processes, marketing infrastructure, and financial systems
• Support recruitment of additional technical team members as the company scales

What We're Looking For

Core qualifications:

• Proven experience in business development, sales, marketing, operations, or finance—generalists who can cover multiple areas are welcome
• Comfort working with deep-tech hardware products transitioning from prototype to market-ready solutions
• Ability to work on-site in Saarbrücken, Germany

Particularly valuable:

• Experience navigating EXIST or similar German public funding programs for deep-tech ventures
• Existing network within food industry quality management, industrial gas analysis, or analytical instruments sectors
• Interest in supporting technical recruitment and team building
