U.S. Xpress - OTR is actively hiring full-time CDL-A Company Drivers for over-the-road dry van routes based out of Hastings, Adams County — a strong opportunity for drivers with as little as one month of CDL-A experience ready to build a real trucking career.

About the Role

This is an OTR dry van position running consistent long-haul miles across the country. Solo drivers average 2,000 miles per week, while team drivers push approximately 5,000 miles per week together. The standard rotation runs 12 days out with 2 days home, giving you a predictable rhythm on the road.

What You'll Earn

• Solo CPM rate of 57–64 cents per mile, scaled to your experience level
• Guaranteed weekly minimum pay of $1,500 for solo drivers
• Top 20% of U.S. Xpress OTR solo drivers take home $1,650 or more per week
• $4,000 sign-on bonus for solo CDL-A drivers
• Team drivers earn $0.72–$0.80 CPM split and qualify for a $5,000 sign-on bonus (split between partners)

What You'll Do

• Operate a Class A tractor-trailer hauling dry van freight on OTR lanes
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in compliance with FMCSA regulations
• Maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD) and adhere to HOS rules
• Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding load status, delays, and delivery windows
• Secure and verify freight before departure and upon delivery
• Uphold safe driving practices across all weather and traffic conditions

What We're Looking For

• Valid CDL-A license with 1 to 5 months of verifiable driving experience
• Clean driving record and ability to meet DOT physical requirements
• Comfort operating OTR routes with extended time away from home
• Dependable, safety-minded attitude with strong communication skills
• Willingness to run dry van freight on varied, long-haul lanes
