Samsung Research America is hiring a full-time Senior Manager, Emerging Tech – Consumer Health and Medical Equipment Technologies in Mountain View, Santa Clara County. In this role, you will help shape the next generation of consumer health and medical equipment technologies by scouting and nurturing the external innovations that move Samsung forward.

About the Role

As Senior Manager, Emerging Tech within Samsung Research America's Emerging Technologies Group, you will lead efforts to discover, evaluate, and incubate breakthrough external technologies. Your work will directly strengthen Samsung's roadmap and competitive standing across its consumer devices and medical equipment portfolios, laying the groundwork for products that define what comes next.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and assess emerging external technologies relevant to consumer health and medical equipment.
• Drive incubation, partnership, and investment opportunities tied to breakthrough innovations.
• Proactively research market and technology trends that accelerate Samsung's development and leadership position.
• Build relationships with startups, research groups, and innovators advancing next-generation device and medical technologies.
• Translate early-stage discoveries into actionable opportunities that support Samsung's industry-leading product strategy.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience evaluating, sourcing, or incubating emerging technologies, ideally in consumer electronics or medical equipment.
• Strong understanding of innovation pipelines, partnership development, and technology investment.
• Ability to connect technical possibilities with business and market impact.
• Comfort working in a fast-moving, research-driven environment at a senior individual-contributor or leadership level.
• Based in or able to work on-site in Mountain View, Santa Clara County (this position is not remote).
