Blockchain Security Expert – Chain Security Evaluation Track

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential blockchain security organization in a search for a Blockchain Security Expert to join their Chain Security Evaluation practice. This role sits at the intersection of cybersecurity and distributed systems, focusing on deep technical assessments of blockchain infrastructure.

You'll conduct comprehensive security evaluations of blockchain nodes, consensus mechanisms, and network protocols while working alongside experienced security researchers. This position offers the chance to directly impact the security posture of critical blockchain infrastructure used across the industry.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth security evaluations on blockchain nodes, validators, consensus mechanisms, mempool behavior, networking layers, and chain modules
• Review and analyze blockchain frameworks such as Cosmos SDK, CometBFT, Geth, Hyperledger, and other L1/L2/L3 infrastructures
• Identify security issues related to consensus safety, chain halting, permission model flaws, and block production vulnerabilities
• Implement and run custom scripts and test scenarios to simulate real-world validator/network behaviors, chain stress conditions, and edge cases
• Collaborate with cross-functional security teams to deliver comprehensive assessments and recommendations

What We're Looking For

• Strong written and spoken English communication skills
• High diligence and strong attention to detail, especially in multi-step testing and long-running experiments
• Solid understanding of blockchain architecture and node internals (e.g., Cosmos SDK/CometBFT, Go-Ethereum (Geth) internals, Hyperledger Fabric/Besu)
• Strong scripting and automation skills with Python or Bash
• Familiarity with Docker and containerized testing environments
• Prior experience in manual Web3 security auditing is preferred, but not required
• Self-starter mentality with comfort in ambiguous, fast-paced environments

Pay

Pay via Get A Job.ai: $120,000 - $180,000 USD annually, based on skills and experience.
