Remote Clinical Geneticist (Physician)

Overview

Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a healthcare services organization supporting federal programs nationwide. We are seeking Remote Clinical Geneticists to provide telehealth consultations to eligible patients across the United States. This is a Monday through Friday position with standard business hours and no on-call or after-hours coverage requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct virtual genetic evaluations and consultations for adult patients via telehealth platforms
• Complete approximately 12 new patient consultations per week plus 11-12 follow-up visits
• Review medical records and comprehensive family histories
• Order appropriate genetic testing and complete laboratory requisitions
• Interpret genetic test results and communicate findings to patients and referring providers
• Develop and communicate treatment and management recommendations based on genetic findings
• Document all clinical encounters in electronic health record systems within required timeframes
• Track completion of ordered genetic tests and document testing that was not completed
• Coordinate care with referring providers and multidisciplinary clinical teams
• Participate in quality improvement activities, team meetings, and case conferences
• Maintain board certification, continuing medical education requirements, and clinical privileges

What We're Looking For

• Board Certified or Board Eligible as a Physician Geneticist through the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ABMGG)
• Active, full, and unrestricted medical license to practice in any U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia
• Clean licensure history with no suspended, revoked, restricted, or surrendered professional licenses
• Active AHA BLS certification
• Current NPI number with available printout
• Active DEA license
• Ability to pass a federal background investigation
• Physical capability to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach during work shifts
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist, lift up to 20 lbs overhead, carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance, and push/pull with 30 lbs of force
